Voting for Expo 2020’s host city has kicked off in Paris. All eyes are on Dubai and the three other bidding cities in Turkey, Russia and Brazil. The 168-member BIE is expected to announce the winning candidate after 8.30pm UAE time. Business Breakfast’s Malcolm Taylor is in Paris and he shares the latest update with Drive Live:

Expo fever is gathering momentum here in the UAE with the announcement of the 2020 host city not far away. The exponential support for Dubai’s bid is well documented, but how are people feeling ahead of the bid announcement. ARN’s Natasha Thomas has been out and about to gauge reaction:

With an Expo 2020 verdict expected imminently, most people in the UAE are thinking about Dubai as a host city. But one Dubai resident is busy looking back. Michelle was in Canada in 1967 when it was Montreal’s turn to play host. He remembers it as a magical experience:

ARN’s Natasha Thomas attended a gala dinner held in honour of the delegates from the 167 member nations of the Bureau International des Expositions on the 22nd of October.

Hosted at the base of the Burj Khalifa in the Armani Hotel, it was a beautiful night under the stars.

More than 250 representatives from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) arrived in Dubai on October 21st to assess the emirate’s bid to host Expo 2020.

They were in town to attend the Dubai Expo 2020 Theme Symposium.
