World Tennis League season 3 kicks off in Abu Dhabi

The World Tennis League Season 3 will take place from December 19 to 22, 2024, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.

Supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), and Miral, the league promises thrilling tennis action combined with electrifying music performances.

Star-Studded Teams: The tournament will feature four teams:

Game Changers Falcons: Elena Rybakina, Caroline Garcia, Andrey Rublev, Denis Shapovalov

TSL Hawks: Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Sumit Nagal, Jordan Thompson

HonorFX Eagles: Iga Swiatek, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Shevchenko, Paula Badosa

Kites: Simona Halep, Jasmine Paolini, Nick Kyrgios, Casper Ruud

The league follows a unique round-robin format where each team plays one match against each other. The top two teams will advance to the final on December 22. Matches include four sets: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, and two doubles sets (Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Doubles). A unique overtime rule and Super Shootout will determine the match winner in case of a tie.

The tournament kicks off with the Game Changers Falcons facing off against the TSL Hawks. The HonorFX Eagles will then play the Kites. The competition continues with more exciting matchups before the final showdown on December 22.

In addition to top-tier tennis action, the event will feature live music performances by renowned artists, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the competition.

The event will be broadcast to over 140 countries, with matches airing daily at 1300 and 1700 hours local time. The final match will be held at 1700 hours on December 22.

Fans can catch the action through various global broadcasters, including Tennis Channel, Sony Ten, and Abu Dhabi Media.

The World Tennis League promises to be an unforgettable experience combining world-class tennis and entertainment in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
