World Cup Qualifying: UAE through to next round

UAE's Omar Abdulrahman (R) and Walid Abbas (L) fight for the ball with Saudi's Yahia al-Shehri(C) during their World Cup 2018 Asian qualifying football match on March 29, 2016 at Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The UAE are through to the third and final round of the Asian World Cup Qualifying. A 1-all draw with Saudi Arabia ensured that Mahdi Ali’s side finished as runners-up in Group A. After falling behind in the first half, a stunning strike from Omar Abdulrahman early in the second period levelled matters.
