World Bodybuilding Championship set for Fujairah

The highly anticipated Mr. and Ms. World Bodybuilding Championship is set to be held from October 3 to 5 at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the event will showcase both amateur and professional athletes from around the globe.

This prestigious championship is a joint initiative between the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation, and it is expected to draw hundreds of participants. 

The roster currently includes 231 professional competitors, 347 amateurs, and 182 female athletes, with registration still open for those wishing to participate.

At a press conference announcing the event, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the UAE leadership, which has played a crucial role in the growth of bodybuilding in the region.

Engineer Mohammed bin Majid, Director-General of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah and Chairman of the Organising Committee, highlighted the strong interest in the championship, noting the impressive number of registered participants.
