The UAE National Olympic Committee (NOC) has elected His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as its President for the 2024–2028 Olympic term.

Sheikh Mansoor secured the role in accordance with the NOC’s statutes and electoral regulations, with the announcement made during the General Assembly in Dubai.

In his speech, Sheikh Mansoor highlighted the trust placed in him by national sports leaders who have driven the UAE’s Olympic success. He also praised the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose vision during his 16-year presidency greatly impacted the country’s sporting achievements.

Sheikh Mansoor emphasised that the continued success of the UAE Olympic movement depends on the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including sports federations, to support athletes and maintain the UAE's legacy of sporting excellence globally.

The meeting also saw the presentation of the International Olympic Committee's approval to extend the NOC Board of Directors' mandate for the upcoming Olympic cycle, alongside the approval of the NOC's financial reports, budget plans, and upcoming Olympic event preparations.

Additionally, Sheikh Mansoor witnessed the signing of an agreement to host the headquarters of 21 national sports federations at the new NOC premises in Dubai, representing a range of individual and team sports.
