Dubai Sports Council

Participants in this year’s Dubai Women’s Triathlon will be able to receive advice and help at a special training camp on November 14.

The Triathlon is taking place on November 27 and is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council.

Organised by the Women’s Sports Committee of Dubai Sports Council in cooperation with hosts Dubai Ladies Club, the fourth season of the event  is open to women of all nationalities aged 15 and above.

Anyone interested in taking part can register through Dubai Sports Council’s official website, www.dubaisc.ae.

Participants can choose from three categories: Super Sprint (400m swim, 10km cycling and 2.5km run), Sprint (750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run) and the Olympic Distance (1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run).

To get the participants ready for the event, Dubai Ladies Club will be hosting a two-hour complimentary triathlon training camp for registered participants on November 14, starting at 9 am.

Experts at the Triathlon Camp will be informing participants about the different racing techniques and the best way to transition from swimming to cycling and then running.

Participants will also learn about the necessary diet and nutrition needed for the races.
