The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the suspension of the entire season until further notice.

It comes after a Utah Jazz player tested positive for the coronavirus shortly before they were due to play the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The league clarified that the affected player, reportedly Jazz centre Rudy Gobert, was not in the arena.

Players from teams that Jazz has played in the past 10 days were reportedly told to home-quarantine.
