Halep books place in last eight at Roland Garros

Defending champion Simona Halep has booked her place in the last eight of the French Open.

The third-seed breezed past Polish teenager Iga Swiatek in straight sets on Monday night.

The Romanian will now play 17-year-old Amanda Anisimova in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, American Madison Keys got the better of Katerina Siniakova in straight sets.

She now takes Australian eighth seed Ashleigh Barty in the last eight.
