A new decree has been issued in Dubai, aimed at enhancing the work of supervisors and administrators in sports clubs and companies.

His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, has issued Decree No. 5 of 2020, which comes within the framework of empowering Emirati officials and providing them with the foundations required to successfully perform their duties.

It will also help attract qualified candidates and set procedures for auditing their performance through regular follow-ups.

The decree defines the terms and conditions, and controls for appointing and assessing administrators and supervisors.

They are required to have the right academic qualification for the job; pass the administrative and supervisory work control tests issued by the Dubai Sports Council, as well as a job interview; and to commit to attending workshops and training courses that the Council regularly organises in cooperation with specialised bodies.

The latest directive is part of the Dubai Sports Council's efforts to improve the mechanism and methodology of work in sports clubs and companies, as well as providing Emiratis of different age with an ideal atmosphere to practise their favourite sports, which will lead to an increase in the number of sports practitioners.

The decision will also help clubs and companies overcome the administrative challenges in selecting qualified candidates.
