Christian Coleman has won gold in the 100m race at the World Athletics Championships.

The American stormed past the finish line in just 9.76 seconds.

Defending champion and fellow countryman Justin Gatlin came second, while Canada's Andre de Grasse took bronze.

Coleman had come into the race with a cloud over his head after narrowly avoiding a ban for three missed doping tests.
