Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, NYU Abu Dhabi create 3D model heart

WAM

The Cleveland Clinic, along with NYU Abu Dhabi have developed an advanced 3D printing technology to create a model of a heart.

The 3D model will assist in treating 41-year-old Mian Mohamed Shabbie, who has a rare cardiovascular anomaly.

The technology comes from NYU Abu Dhabi's Core Technology Platform and has applications in cardiovascular and neurological cases.
Using a 3D-printed model enhances procedure safety and enables more precise, tailored surgery.

Ongoing research by teams at the hospital aim to demonstrate that the technology is valuable in various medical fields beyond cardiovascular and neurological applications.
