Winners of 'Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award' honoured

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has honoured the winners of the 2024 Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that government excellence is a core value of the UAE, driven by a commitment to serve the community and provide top living standards for all.

"Excellence is not just a goal; it is a way of life in the UAE, reflecting our vision to not only meet ambitions but anticipate the future," he said.

The awards celebrate those who have turned challenges into opportunities, creating transformative solutions and setting new standards for government services.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Sash was presented to individuals who have made outstanding national contributions.

Among the honourees are His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, who was recognized for his leadership in driving sustainable development and innovation through initiatives like "Ajman Vision 2021" and the Ajman Excellence Programme.

Sheikh Mohammed hailed his efforts in developing the Ajman government system in line with federal best practices.

His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also received the Sash for his visionary leadership in national projects like Etihad Rail, a key initiative linking UAE emirates and boosting economic integration in the region.

Sheikh Theyab’s work also includes projects enhancing tourism and improving quality of life, alongside youth empowerment initiatives.

In addition, several federal entities were honoured. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs won the Leading Federal Entity Award for large ministries, while the Ministries of Interior and Finance were recognised for their excellence in sustainability.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, honoured leading federal entities with institutional awards.

The Ministry of Economy received the Leading Federal Entity Award for ministries with fewer than 500 employees, while the Central Bank of the UAE and the General Civil Aviation Authority were recognized in the category for entities with over 500 employees.

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority was also awarded in the smaller entities category.

Additionally, the Most Improved Entity Award went to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the General Pension and Social Security Authority, recognizing significant leaps in performance.

Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister awarded the prestigious "Pride of the Emirates" medal to Emirati citizens for exceptional contributions in their fields.

The medal was presented to Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai for his leadership in advanced technology, and to Dr. Rafia Obaid Ghubash, a pioneer in community service and women’s history.

Several government entities were also recognised for excellence. The Ministry of Economy won the Best Entity Contributing to the UAE’s Global Leadership and Competitiveness, while the Ministry of Interior received multiple awards, including for adopting innovative solutions and transformational thinking.

The Best Entity in Customer Service Award went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Best Entity in Developing Legislation and Regulations Award was conferred on the Ministry of Finance, and the Best Entity in Partnership and Integration Award was given to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

The Best Entity in Youth Empowerment Award was presented to the Ministry of Interior.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's First Deputy Ruler and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, honoured winners in leadership categories, including the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Undersecretary, awarded to Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh from the Ministry of Economy.

Ahmed Abdullah bin Lahej Al Falasi from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security received the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Director General, while Juma Mohammed Al Kait from the Ministry of Economy was presented with the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Assistant Undersecretary.

Mohammed Yousef Al Ramsi from the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority was honoured with the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Executive Director.

In the category of Leadership Excellence for Department Directors, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was recognized with the Prime Minister’s Medal.

The Prime Minister’s Medals were also presented to individuals excelling in specialized fields, such as Major Saif Khamis Al Mazrouei from the Ministry of Interior and Dr. Saeed Hassan Al Marashdeh from the Ministry of Justice, for their contributions to their respective fields.

In the field of Government Communication, Dr. Reem Sabah Qambar from the Ministry of Interior was recognized with the Prime Minister’s Medal for her impactful work.

Captain Rashid bin Hamdan Al Nuaimi from the Ministry of Interior was awarded the Prime Minister’s Medal for Youth, while Mariam Sultan Salem Al Zaabi from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure received the Prime Minister’s Medal in the Customer Happiness category.

Abdullah Salem Obaid Al Dhaheri was recognized with the Prime Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Ambassador, while Amna Mahmoud Mohammed Fikri received the Prime Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Female Ambassador.

The Prime Minister’s Medal for Best School Principal was awarded to Salama Khalfan Obaid Al Mazrouei from the Ministry of Education.

Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Siyabi, also from the Ministry of Education, earned the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Teacher. Additionally, Dr. Saqr Abdullah Al Mualla from the Emirates Health Services was honoured with the Prime Minister’s Medal for Best Doctor.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award continues to inspire innovation and competition across government institutions, fostering enhanced performance and efficiency.
