Watch: UAE leaders mark Flag Day

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has shared a video, showing how the country's leaders marked the UAE Flag Day on Thursday.

"As people across the UAE join together to raise the flag as one, we reflect on our country’s past and are optimistic for its future," Sheikh Mohamed  said on Twitter.

He added that the people of the UAE are united by a shared sense of national pride and a steadfast belief in the next generation who will lead the country's continued progress.

The video shows their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, along with their grandsons, raising the UAE flag.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah are seen raising the national flag.

Their Highnesses expressed their utmost pride on the occasion of UAE Flag Day, stressing that it symbolises our unity, sovereignty, and pride and an occasion to renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to the homeland.
