Police in Abu Dhabi are cracking down on e-scooter riders and cyclists who don't comply with the rules.
Inspections are being stepped up following the conclusion of a two-month long awareness campaign.
The authority is highlighting the importance of using designated paths and wearing a protective helmet and a reflective jacket.
Scooters with seats are prohibited while a bicycle or e-scooter must have only one rider.
Riders must also avoid carrying any items that could affect their balance.
