Visa-free entry for UAE citizens travelling to Thailand

WAM

The UAE nationals holding diplomatic and special passports can now travel to Thailand without pre-entry visas, UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) has announced.

The visitors can stay in the country for up to 90-days from the date of arrival.

The visa waiver also applies to the citizens of Thailand travelling to the UAE.

The decision follows the signing of a mutual agreement between the government of the UAE and Thailand. The Agreement was signed by Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, the Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Waravuth Pouapinya, the Kingdom of Thailand’s designated ambassador to the UAE.

Khalid Abdullah Belhoul said that the agreement aims to strengthen and enhance existing bilateral relations and friendship ties between the two countries.

The agreement will enter into force after the completion of constitutional procedures in both countries.
