It's mandatory for all individuals aged 16 and above to be fully vaccinated for entering educational facilities (2021-22 academic year).

That's according to the UAE's Ministry of Education which said the rule applies to all eligible groups, including students, teachers, support staff and parents.

Individuals with vaccination exemptions must have an official certificate of exemption issued by the health authorities.

A similar move was also announced by Abu Dhabi's Department of Education and Knowledge as part of its reopening guidelines for private and charter schools.

The changes are not applicable in Dubai, which is yet to announce any new directives.
