PCR tests mandatory for UAQ government employees every 7 days

Starting January 24, all employees of the Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) Government will be required to undergo a PCR test every seven days at their own expense.

According to the Umm Al Quwain Executive Council, employees having received the COVID-19 vaccine will be exempted.

Those unable to take the vaccine due to health conditions also have to get tested every seven days but at the government’s expense.

The development goes in line with the UAE government's efforts to curb the virus, mitigate its fallout and ensure public health and safety.
