UAE urges its citizens to return from Lebanon

WAM

The UAE has called on its citizens in Lebanon to return home as soon as possible.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision was based on current events and follows the earlier announcement withdrawing UAE diplomats from Lebanon and barring Emiratis from travelling to the country.

On Saturday, the UAE announced the withdrawal of its diplomats from Lebanon in solidarity with Saudi Arabia after statements critical of the Kingdom's role in Yemen from Lebanon's information minister.
