A nationwide survey on health and nutrition is set to be launched in the UAE on May 20.

The study led by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is designed to measure health performance indicators and provide valuable insights for policymakers and experts.

It will cover 20,000 households of citizens and residents, alongside 2,000 workers.

By identifying needs and priorities, the survey will help facilitate proactive measures to address existing health and nutritional challenges and ultimately enhance the quality of life.

Its launch date was announced following the completion of all technical preparatory stages.

The preparations included developing questionnaires approved by the World Health Organisation, available in four languages: Arabic, English, Hindi and Urdu.

Additionally, doctors, researchers, field supervisors, auditors and nurses underwent rigorous qualification and training processes to ensure the survey's effectiveness.

The survey will be carried out in coordination with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, local health authorities and statistical centres.
