The UAE has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with Pakistan over the victims of the train accident that occurred in the Nawabshah district of Sindh province, which resulted in 30 deaths and 100 injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims of the tragedy, and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

Carriages of the Hazara Express overturned near Sahara railway station, 275 km away from Karachi.

The cause of the derailment is unclear, with the train said to have been travelling at the normal speed.

Authorities have ruled out flooding of the track as a possible cause.
