UAE public holidays for 2021, 2022 announced

The UAE Cabinet has announced the national holidays for both the public and private sector for the years 2021 and 2022.

HOLIDAYS FOR 2021

1 January:
New Year

29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal: Eid Al Fitr*

9 Zul Hijjah: Arafah Day*

10,11,12 Zul Hijjah: Eid Al Adha*

12 August: Islamic New Year

21 October: Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday

1 December: Commemoration Day

2 and 3 December: National Day


HOLIDAYS FOR 2022

1 January: New Year

29 Ramadan to 3 Shawwal: Eid Al Fitr*

9 Zul Hijjah: Arafah Day*

30 July: Islamic New Year

*The religious holidays have been listed according to the Islamic calendar, for which the corresponding Gregorian calendar dates are determined based on the movement of the moon.
