The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Vietnam's Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who is on an official visit to the UAE.

The meeting took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, where both leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote prosperity for their nations.

Sheikh Mohamed was joined by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

The discussions focused on building upon the historical ties between the two countries, particularly in areas such as economy, trade, investment, culture, climate action, and renewable energy.

Both leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues, emphasizing their commitment to peace and stability through diplomatic solutions to conflicts.

Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE's dedication to strengthening relations with Vietnam since diplomatic ties were established in 1993.

He highlighted the remarkable growth in economic and trade relations, with non-oil trade reaching over $12 billion last year, a 38.7% increase from 2022.

The Prime Minister of Vietnam expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation and explore new economic opportunities, thanking the UAE for its warm hospitality.

He also left a message in the Qasr Al Watan VIP guestbook, expressing his pleasure in visiting the UAE and his hopes for continued progress in their relations.
