UAE leaders send Iran condolences following helicopter crash

UAE leaders say the nation stands in solidarity with Iran and has extended condolences over the passing of President Ebrahim Raisi and foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who were killed in a helicopter crash.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai have sent their condolences.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister were killed in a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain and icy weather, on Monday, after search teams located the wreckage in the East Azerbaijan province.
