UAE leaders highlight national projects to empower citizens

The UAE's leader have commended the recent national projects aimed at empowering nationals and citizens.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said on Twitter, "Consistent with our ambitions to empower our people and enhance the strength and sustainability of our economy, the UAE is launching a dedicated plan to boost the employment of UAE Nationals in the private sector, which will play a vital role in our nation’s long-term development."

Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also wrote, "Within the second batch of the fifty national projects, the President of the UAE, may God protect him, directed the allocation of AED24 billion to stimulate the private sector to accommodate 75,000 citizens and a new budget to support graduates' projects."

The tweets came after the UAE announced another set of projects on Sunday.

These will be developed over the next 50 years, with several programmed being announced ahead of the country’s 50th National Day celebrations in December.

The first set national initiative was unveiled on Sunday September 5 and it included visas for freelancers, highly skilled professionals, investors and top students.
