UAE leaders congratulate Emir of Qatar on National Day

WAM

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, on his country's National Day.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sheikh Mohamed wished "Qatar and its people continued happiness and success in the future".

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also took to Twitter to extend his special wishes.

"We congratulate Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Qatari people on their glorious National Day, which coincides with the World Cup final," he wrote.

It was on December 18, 1878, that Qatar's Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani "laid the foundations of the modern state".

Qatar will also see the end the FIFA World Cup 2022 on the same day, alongside a series of celebrations under the slogan “Our unity is the source of our strength”.
