UAE honors Space pioneers on 53rd Eid Al Etihad

In a prestigious ceremony held at Zaabeel Palace in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, awarded Space Medals to five Emiratis for their exceptional contributions to advancing the UAE's space sector.

The ceremony, marking the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, was attended by prominent leaders including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and senior officials from various sectors.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the significant support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in driving the UAE’s space ambitions, emphasizing the importance of the nation's skilled workforce in achieving space milestones.

He also honored the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Fathers for their vision in positioning the nation as a leader in space exploration.

Dr. Sultan bin Saif AlNeyadi, Major Hazzaa Ali Al Mansoori, Salem Humaid AlMarri, Dr. Hanan Sulaiman Al Suwaidi, and Engineer Adnan Al-Rais were awarded the First-Class and Second-Class Space Medals for their groundbreaking achievements, including the longest Arab space mission, spacewalks, and critical roles in astronaut training and space health.

Their dedication reflects the UAE’s ongoing commitment to space exploration, innovation, and preparing future generations for success.

The awards highlighted the nation's progress in space exploration and its efforts to inspire excellence in science and technology.
