The International Security Alliance (ISA), which includes the UAE, seized more than 55 tonnes of drugs worth $750 million in a major global operation spanning two months.

As many as 597 suspects were arrested as part of the campaign that targeted transnational drug trafficking networks between April and June.

The ISA, which includes the UAE, Bahrain, Senegal, Morocco, Spain, Israel, Italy, Slovakia, Singapore, France and the Netherlands, carried out the operation in partnership with The Police Community of the Americas (Ameripol).

His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, hailed the efforts of the ISA and Ameripol in combatting this "dangerous scourge".
