The UAE Armed Forces on Saturday warned of loud noises in Ras Al Khaimah's Al Hamra as rehearsals for the 6th edition of Union Fortress begin.

According to the statement published by national news agency WAM, residents have been warned against approaching the rehearsal site or taking pictures of the drill.

Fishermen, boats and ships have also been prohibited from entering the restricted area for safety reasons.

Union Fortress showcases the expertise of the Armed Forces, their readiness, spirit and professionalism in a number of different live-action battle scenarios.

The event, which will be held on November 1, will be the biggest-ever public demonstration of the UAE military.
