UAE announces multi-entry visa for FIFA World Cup ticket holders

The UAE has announced multiple-entry tourist visas for FIFA World Cup ticket holders.

In a series of tweets, the UAE government announced that 'Hayya' card holders will be able to apply for the visa for a one-time fee of AED 100 from November 1.

The visa will allow a stay of up to 90 days from the date of issuance, with a provision to extend it for another 90 days.

Citizens of visa-exempt countries are excluded from this process, and can enter and stay in the UAE according to the current procedures.

To apply for the visa, head to www.icp.gov.ae, choose "Smart Channels", and then select "Public Services". Next, pick "Hayya Card Holders" Visa, complete data and documents and pay the applicable fees.

All those attending FIFA matches must register under the Hayya system, which will serve as an entry permit to Qatar during the World Cup.
