UAE announces Islamic New Year holiday for private sector

Friday July 21 will be an official paid holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE.

In a statement on Twitter, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that it will be an official paid holiday for private sector employees on the occasion of Islamic New Year (1445H).

On Wednesday it was announced federal entities would also receive a holiday for the same date, according to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR).
