UAE and France endorse 10-year roadmap for strategic partnership

The UAE and France have held virtual discussions on strengthening partnerships in crucial sectors like trade, energy, health and education.

This came during the 12th session of the UAE-France Strategic Dialogue, where delegates reviewed their achievements over the past decade and looked at future growth opportunities.

This time, the annual meeting also focused on joint efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the session, both sides endorsed a roadmap for the next decade of their strategic partnership (2020-2030), in addition to boosting ties in areas such as technology, food security, as well as advanced sciences, human capital, research and development.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to global peace and working together to resolve crises in the Middle East.

The session was chaired by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority of Abu Dhabi, and Francois Delattre, Secretary-General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

UAE attendees included Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of ADNOC.

They were joined by the Ambassadors of both countries, as well as chairpersons, undersecretaries and director generals from key entities representing priority sectors.
