UAE aid arrives in Beirut in support of Lebanese women

WAM

Two relief planes from the UAE have landed at Beirut airport as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign.

Each plane was loaded with 40 tons of essential supplies aimed at supporting Lebanese women affected by the ongoing conflict.

One of the planes carried a special contribution from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as the ‘Mother of the Nation’ and Chairwoman of the General Women's Union.

Her Highness expressed deep compassion for the people of Lebanon, stating, “Dear mothers of Lebanon, our hearts are with you in all circumstances and times. The UAE was and still is with Lebanon, hoping for stability and security.”

The campaign was launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and is being closely monitored by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.

As the UAE strengthens its humanitarian response it reaffirms it's role as a committed partner in promoting stability and well-being in the region.
