Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammad Al Mulla from the second batch of the UAE Astronaut Programme have graduated from the NASA programme following a two-year training period.

In a ceremony at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, they were awarded their astronaut pins, qualifying them for future space missions.

Speaking to DubaiEye 103.8, Matrooshi said that flying in a twinjet supersonic jet trainer was the highlight of her training and she is humbled by the amount of work people put in to help her reach this milestone.

The pair graduated alongside 10 other candidates who were selected for the NASA training programme in 2021.
