More than 2500 students in the UAE will get the opportunity to meet and interact with a former Nasa Astronaut. An acknowledged authority on space exploration, Dr. Donald Thomas will be meeting students from more than 11 schools in the country as part of the Nasa Space Camp’s schools outreach programme in partnership with the Dubai based Compass International. Dr. Thomas is back in the UAE this week to launch the second round of this programme which aims at educating and familiarising students with space science. He will be accompanied by Michael Flachbart, vice-president of Centre Operations at the USSRC which is an affiliate of NASA.
