Standardised measurements will soon be introduced for taxi meters and jewellery across the UAE.

The Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) says it's working on new agreements across a number of different sectors.

They say a series of new agreements will be signed to develop new legal and scientific standardisation methods.

It'll cover commercial measurements, fuel and taxi meters, and medical measurement tools.
