President names new chairperson of Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has appointed Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the chairperson of the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity.

The announcement also says that Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will step in as Vice Chairperson.

They will be in charge of advancing the vision and philanthropy of Sheikh Mohamed through diverse programmes and initiatives under the Mohamed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity.

Sheikha Mariam already holds the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, while Sheikh Hamdan is the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs.

The Foundation "reflects the philanthropic legacy of our nation and the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed... It is an honour to continue guiding this commitment towards serving humanity and investing in the building blocks of human progress to enable people everywhere to thrive," Sheikha Mariam added.

The Foundation aims to advance human potential, support global health priorities and expand opportunities for the most vulnerable communities worldwide. It now focuses on advancing sustainable efforts in global health and inclusive development by investing in innovative solutions that empower individuals and communities, thereby driving prosperity and progress.

Over the next five years, the Foundation aims to reach more than 500 million people across over 50 countries, spanning Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
