Traffic update: Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road diversion continues

Traffic diversion on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road will continue to be in place, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced, as emergency workers clear areas in Jebel Ali of water logging.

In an update on their official social media handle, the authority advised drivers to take alternative routes and warned of delays.

"For those coming from Abu Dhabi, please use Seih Shuaib St. towards Emirates Rd," the post read.

Traffic diversions were put in place on Tuesday morning after heavy rain left several roads inundated. 

"In Jebel Ali area due to the water accumulation, please use the following alternative routes to reach your destinations:

Earlier, the RTA announced another diversion.

Those coming from Abu Dhabi must take Seih Shuaib St. towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, while those heading towards the UAE capital must take Al Maktoum Airport St. towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
