Parts of Dubai erupted in applause for healthcare professionals on Wednesday night.

At 8:00 pm, people were seen and heard in their balconies as they cheered, turned their lights on and off, and clapped in areas like Dubai Marina, TECOM, Jumeirah Lakes Towers and The Greens in a gesture of appreciation for medical workers fighting COVID-19.

Some people were also seen playing bagpipes and other instruments in the background.
