Regulations eased for dentists in Dubai

Supplied

It’s getting a lot easier for dentists to start working in clinics and hospitals within Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC).

The authority has scrapped the mandatory online licensing exam for those who’ve graduated from certain countries.

The revised guidelines are applicable to general dentists who’ve qualified from the national boards of six countries, including the US, Australia, Canada and Ireland.

The move is expected to help streamline services and cut the waiting time for appointments as Dubai gears up for a projected 156 per cent increase in demand for dental services by 2025.
