RAK Ruler praises winners at education awards

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has marked the importance of excellence and innovation in education as key drivers of economic growth and progress.

During the 18th Ras Al Khaimah Award for Educational Excellence ceremony, Sheikh Saud highlighted these elements enhance the quality of life and establish a solid foundation for a brighter and more sustainable future.

The ceremony celebrated more than 60 winners across various categories, including students, individuals, and educational institutions, recognising achievements in several categories, including outstanding research, excellence in innovation, school sustainability, and wellbeing initiatives. 

Sheikh Saud pointed out that advanced societies are characterised by their support for creative individuals and innovative institutions. He emphasised the importance of encouraging creativity and maintaining a competitive edge both regionally and globally.

He outlined that education is a key engine for development and economic growth, achieved through adherence to international standards, support for innovative programs, and fostering creative thinking among youth.

Sheikh Saud congratulated the award winners and commended their efforts in advancing the education sector. He encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence and further their contributions to educational development.
