Over AED 51 million debt waiver for Sharjah citizens

The Sharjah Ruler has approved more than AED 51 million to help settle 99 cases of debt.

The move by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, will help "citizens in different categories".

The payout from the Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee aims to provide a "stable and decent life for its citizens".

Since the start of the programme, more than AED 786 million has been handed out to benefit 1,576 people.
