No shortage of masks in UAE; Ministry takes action against rumour-mongers

WAM

The UAE's ministry of health and prevention (MoHAP) has taken legal action against two men for spreading rumours about a shortage of masks in one of the hospitals.

The individuals have run into trouble for a video post that was circulated on social media.

One of them made the claim while the other person shot the video.

The ministry has reaffirmed that all hospitals and medical centres in the country are well-equipped with necessary supplies, and it's coordinating with the facilities on a daily basis to ensure their readiness.

It has also warned people against circulating misleading information.
