WAM

There has been a significant increase in the number of businesses complying with the rules related to the reopening of commercial establishments in Dubai.

No fines or closure orders were issued during the latest round of inspections carried out in as many as 474 outlets on May 1.

Fourteen establishments were warned for not displaying social distancing stickers, while all others were found to be fully compliant with the guidelines.

The measures include wearing face masks and ensuring social distancing, as well as not opening trial rooms and not conducting promotional offers.

The Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection sector of Dubai Economy carried out the inspections in shops located in parts of Deira, Bur Dubai, Satwa, Rashidiya, Qusais, Karama and Muhaisnah.

Dubai Economy has also called on consumers to report violations via the Dubai Consumer App, by calling 600545555, or on the website.
