National COVID-19 crisis recovery committee holds second meeting

His Excellency Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, along with His Excellency Obaid Al Hosan, Director General of NCEMA, announced today that they have a national platform for action.

All institutions, entities and individuals have been instructed to address the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, protect the society’s health and safety and proactively prepare for recovery.

Dr Sultan added that the UAE has succeeded thanks to the directives of the leadership and the cooperation of national institutions in containing the spread of the virus and taking proactive measures.

He highlighted that the Emirates has gained international praise and appreciation for its crisis management procedures.

Authorities clarified that work is continuing at all levels to safe-guard vital sectors such as health, education, security, food security and the economy.

During the meeting, officials also reviewed the strategic recovery media plan, which seeks to strengthen the position of the UAE and its role in the international community.
