Motorists who actively engage in the UAE's upcoming 'Accident-Free Day' have the chance to get four black points taken off their records.

The initiative led by the Federal Traffic Council coincides with the re-opening of schools on Monday, August 28 after the summer break.

To claim the points deduction, drivers must sign an online pledge linked to the campaign and ensure that they don't commit any traffic offences or cause accidents on this day.

'A Day Without Accidents' or 'Accident-Free Day' is a nationwide campaign led by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with local police authorities.

"Designed to bolster participation and road safety, this initiative serves as an encouragement and a reminder of the day's significance in promoting traffic safety and awareness," said Brig. General Engineer Hussain Ahmed Al Harthy, Chair of the Federal Traffic Council.
