Up to 40 products have been recalled in Abu Dhabi for failing to meet safety requirements.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) has inspected over 34,800 items since the start of the year, including toys, electrical appliances, tyres, tobacco products and household cleaning products.

The ongoing inspections have so far resulted in dozens items being recalled, as well as corrective action being taken against nine others.

The QCC has issued a warning to outlets selling non-compliant products and urged the public to be on the lookout for items with a red seal, indicating non-compliance.
