ICO launches initiative to correct status of violators

WAM

The International Charity Organisation (ICO) has announced a new initiative called 'Correction of the Status of Violators,' with a budget of AED 3 million, to help people complete their residency procedures and waive fines.

The programme is part of a broader campaign by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security to help those who have violated entry and residency regulations.

Dr Khalid Al Khaja, the ICO's secretary-general, stated that supporting national campaigns like this one aligns with the ICO's mission. This initiative offers individuals a chance to resolve their residency issues without penalties.

In the first phase, the ICO will process 600 applications from those who meet the eligibility criteria.
