His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, toured GITEX GLOBAL on Monday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Running from October 14-18, it's the largest tech and startup gathering in the world, featuring over 6,500 exhibitors from more than 180 countries.

Under the theme "Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy," the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL highlights leading technology enterprises alongside governments, investors, and startups, showcasing the UAE as a global hub for AI innovation.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the UAE’s commitment to becoming a leader in advanced technologies and nurturing both local talent and international partnerships.

He noted that GITEX GLOBAL will support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate’s GDP and generate an annual AED 100 billion from digital transformation by 2033.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed explored key pavilions from various companies, engaging with industry leaders about the latest advancements in AI and digital solutions.

This year’s GITEX GLOBAL has seen a record international attendance, with a nearly 40% increase in global participation.

The event features over 120 hours of AI-focused content and will launch the region’s largest Data Centre Symposium, paving the way for AI Everything Global 2025.
