H.H. Sheikh Hamdan chairs first Defence Council meeting of 2025

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, chaired the first Defence Council meeting of 2025 on Tuesday.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts, promoting teamwork, and strengthening collaboration to align with the leadership’s vision for enhancing the UAE’s defence capabilities.

He expressed optimism for a year marked by excellence, innovation, and progress, reflecting the nation’s broader development goals.

The meeting focused on ways to reinforce military and institutional strategies, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the Defence Ministry’s performance and aligning its objectives with future goals.

His Highness highlighted the importance of adapting to evolving regional and global challenges while constantly improving the nation's defence readiness.

He also praised the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for his oversight and dedication to advancing the nation's military.

Sheikh Hamdan underscored the need to invest in developing national expertise in the defence sector, ensuring personnel are equipped with the latest technologies and systems.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Highness thanked all attendees for their commitment and dedication to strengthening the Armed Forces, and assured that the leadership would continue to prioritize the development of the UAE’s military capabilities, striving for global excellence.
