Touring the 28th edition of the Gulfood - the largest annual global food and beverage sourcing event in the world, Sheikh Mohammed said the event aims to shape the rapidly growing sector.

With over 5,000 exhibitors, the trade show has seen 1,500 new entries - making it 30 per cent larger than previous years.

Sheikh Mohammed added that the UAE continues to bring together nations, markets and industries to discuss vital issues that impact the sustainability of economies and societies.

The event runs until February 24.
